Water Supply Pipe Installation and Repair

Water supply pipes are a building’s circulatory system – they deliver cold and hot water to every apartment and room. In many of Riga’s apartment buildings, the pipes date from the Soviet era – steel pipes have corroded, reducing flow capacity and degrading water quality. Aged pipes are also the main cause of emergencies – burst and leaking pipes cause significant water damage. SIA Alpex carries out water supply pipe installation, replacement and emergency repair in Riga, Jurmala and the Riga District, using modern materials and technologies.

When to Call

Pipe replacement or repair is needed if:

Our Approach

We begin pipe work with an inspection of the existing system. We assess pipe material, condition, degree of wear and routing. Where possible, we offer section replacement rather than a full system rebuild – this saves both time and costs.

In apartment buildings, we organise riser replacement in stages to keep the water supply interruption as short as possible. We coordinate work with the property manager and inform residents of the schedule.

Service Area

We carry out pipe installation and replacement throughout Riga, Jurmala and the Riga District. We work with apartment buildings, private houses and commercial properties. 24/7 emergency pipe repair is available.

FAQ

Does riser replacement require the consent of all apartment owners?

Risers are the building’s shared engineering infrastructure, and their replacement is typically organised by the property manager or apartment owners’ association. The decision is made by the apartment owners’ general meeting. We help prepare the technical and economic justification and work estimate.

How much does pipe replacement cost?

Costs depend on pipe length, material, number of floors and access complexity. We can prepare a precise estimate after an on-site inspection.

Can pipes be replaced without demolishing walls?

In many cases yes – risers can be replaced using existing shafts and openings. However, in some cases, for example where pipes are built into walls, minor finishing restoration may be necessary. We assess this during the inspection.
